Find & Follow Jesus, Quarter 2نموونە

Devotional:
“Will the Lord reject forever? Will He never show His favor again?... Then I thought, ‘To this I will appeal: the years when the Most High stretched out His right hand. I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember Your miracles of long ago.’” Psalm 77:7, 10-11
In times of distress, it is easy to feel as though God is distant or silent. The psalmist in Psalm 77 wrestles with deep discouragement, wondering if God has abandoned him. He asks painful questions: Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has His love ceased? These doubts resonate with anyone who has faced hardship and felt God’s presence grow faint. However, the psalmist does not remain in despair. He shifts his focus from his immediate troubles to God’s past faithfulness. Instead of dwelling on uncertainty, he chooses to remember the mighty works of the Lord—His miracles, His provision, and His steadfast love. This act of remembrance becomes a source of strength and hope.
We, too, must learn to recall God’s faithfulness when we face trials. Reflecting on how He has worked in our lives before can renew our confidence in His presence now. When we remember His past deliverance, we gain faith for the future. The same God who parted the Red Sea, who provided for His people in the wilderness, and who raised Christ from the dead is still working today.
Are you struggling to see God’s hand in your situation? Take time to remember His faithfulness. Write down past prayers He has answered. Meditate on His promises. Trust that even in seasons of silence, God is still moving.
Prayer:
Are you discouraged or distressed? Do you feel that God is distant? Ask the Holy Spirit to remind you of the times of God’s faithfulness in your past. Then ask Him to renew your trust and help you see His hand at work in your life.

Follow our quarterly plans to read through the entire Bible in one year, plus a bonus round through the Gospels and Romans. Each day, we encourage you to read the sections from both the Old Testament and the New Testament, and then set aside some time to write down, journal, or memorize the first posted verse from each day. Every week we provide an additional devotional for further discussion on that week's themes.
