THE UNBREAKABLE BOY Bible Reading Planنموونە

Forgiveness can be one of the hardest gifts to give, but it’s also one of the most life-changing.
In THE UNBREAKABLE BOY, Austin’s little brother Logan stands up for him throughout the film. He tries to shield Austin from Tyler, a boy at school who picks on him. When Tyler crosses a line and steals Logan’s new skateboard, Logan confronts him. Their confrontation turns physical when Tyler punches Logan. Hurt and frustrated, Logan can’t understand why Austin still wants to be friends with Tyler.
Austin explains, with his unique perspective, that Tyler is sad. Tyler’s dad has been in jail for years, his mother is sick with cancer, and he hasn’t experienced much joy, not even Christmas. Austin’s insight touches Logan. Despite everything, Logan chooses to forgive Tyler and even gives him a new skateboard, wrapped up as a Christmas gift. Logan’s act of forgiveness reflects the heart of God’s grace—choosing compassion even when it isn’t easy.
Forgiveness also plays out between Scott and Teresa. As a husband and father, Scott’s struggles with addiction lead to painful mistakes that deeply hurt his family. Yet Teresa chooses to forgive him.
God calls us to forgive as He has forgiven us. It’s not about excusing bad behavior or pretending everything is fine—it’s about releasing anger and bitterness so we can make room for God’s healing work in our lives and relationships.
- Is there someone you can offer grace to who has wronged you?
- Does knowing that God has forgiven you help you forgive others?
- How can choosing forgiveness bring freedom and healing to your heart?
