Pause and Pray: 9 Days of the Fruit of the Spiritنموونە

Let’s Share Jesus’ Self-Control
No matter how bound we are to things of this world, we are to be ambassadors for Jesus. God works through us and calls us to embrace the opportunities he creates to showcase his miraculous power, attracting others into his kingdom. We should be a magnet for others by how we live in the lifestyle of Jesus, demonstrating self-control in situations when we’re tempted to speak harshly or act rashly.
We should be intentionally committed to the task of being an ambassador of Jesus’ voice by being his gentle Spirit in difficult situations, speaking peace when there is turmoil, and declaring self-control when we are tempted to indulge ourselves. Let’s never fail to do all the things he arranges before us.
Today’s color of the day is orange. Whenever you see something orange, find a way to share Jesus’ self-control with someone around you. Consider complimenting someone when you are tempted to criticize them. And then at 1:11 p.m., pause and pray with believers around the world, thanking God for the self-control he has given you.
Jesus of self-control, our unique mission on earth is by your design. You created and set us apart individually to be your ambassadors as you weave our lives together in the divine moments you arrange. Please help us take this responsibility more seriously, seeking never to miss an opportunity to be your example or to draw others into a personal relationship with you.
Some say it takes 21 days to make a habit. Spending 21 days on each characteristic of the fruit of the Spirit will take 189 days, so after six months of focusing on each fruit of the Spirit and developing new Spirit-inspired habits, you will be living more like Jesus and improving your world.
