A Year in Luke/Actsنموونە

We are currently living under governments that require our support in order for the community to survive. We are not called to hide and pretend away any responsibility we have in this life on earth. Jesus tells us to be responsible citizens, paying our taxes and performing our civic duties. In the same breath, we are to perform our civic duties in the Kingdom of God. Thankfully Jesus spent his ministry outlining for us exactly what the Kingdom of God is, and what it looks like.
We must be equally aware of the culture of the Kingdom of God as we are of our earthly kingdom. The tension of contributing to two different kingdoms is something that each Christian has to reconcile; one is temporal, and the other everlasting. Both are our assignments.
