Cry to the Lord in Your Trouble
When you feel like you’re in a whole lot of trouble, stop to think about how God has helped you out of trouble in the past. This will help calm you down as you trust that He will help you again. Psalm 118 encourages us that we can always cry out to God in our trouble, and He will help us get back into a good, safe place. The scripture continues, “The Lord is with me. I will not be afraid of what man can do to me. The Lord is with me. He is my Helper. I will watch those lose who fight against me. It is better to trust in the Lord than to trust in man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to trust in rulers” (Psalm 118:6–9).
Prayer: Dear Lord, I trust You more than any person or leader. I know You are always with me, and I don’t need to be afraid of anyone or anything. When I’m in trouble, please help me to get out of it and get into a good, safe place. Thank You! Amen.
