Daily Bible Reading— October 2024, God’s Guiding Word: Justice and Peaceنموونە

October 19
Introduction
Isaiah 32:1–20: Today’s reading describes a time to come when the messianic king and his officials will govern with integrity and justice, and God’s peace will reign.
Today’s Key Verse: Isaiah 32:8
An honorable person acts honestly and stands firm for what is right.
Reflect
How are those who rule with integrity described? What is the effect of good leadership on the people who are considered to be honorable in verses 4–8? Reread verses 15–20. How do you envision what is described here? What can you do to bring about God’s justice and peace where you live?
Pray
Righteous and Sovereign God, I pray that your peace will reign throughout the earth and that your justice and wisdom will prevail. With you there is perfect peace and security. Empower and fill me with your spirit so that I walk the path of integrity. Amen.
Tomorrow’s Reading
Isaiah 57:1–21: Israel’s idolatry is condemned.
