When you were a young child, what did you want to be when you grew up? What did you see yourself doing for the rest of your life? What big dream did you want to pursue? What future made you feel like it was going to bring you the most joy? With that in mind, think about what you see yourself doing now. Has that dream changed? Do you feel confused about your future? Are you unsure of what you want your life to look like?

As we grow and change, we realize that so little in this life stays the same. God is the one thing in this life we can count on to never change. God is the only One who remains the same. Even when we are unsure, God promises to show us how to go about living our lives, and along the way, God will surely fill us with joy. We may not know what our future holds, but we can trust that we can always find joy in following God.

Today, make a list of things you know to be true of God. Then, pray and thank God that everything on that list will never change. When you feel uncertain in your own life, this is one thing you can be sure of: God never changes!
