The Happy Days and the Ones That Aren'tنموونە

“In one ear and out the other.” Have you ever heard someone say that phrase? Usually, someone says it when they think we’re not listening or if we’re distracted, disinterested, or not paying attention. Jesus reminds us that if we truly want to learn how to live with wisdom, we have to listen. Not just to anyone, but to Him and the truth of His words in Scripture. As you read it this week, don’t let it go in one ear and out the other! Rather, try to listen to how Jesus speaks to you. Let that wisdom sink in to help you on your happy and not-so-happy days.
Today, work on memorizing this verse. Record yourself saying it aloud so you can listen to it back. When you do, make sure to create space to listen. Pay attention to each word and consider what the verse means for you as you listen each day this week.
