Healing the Official’s Son

Jesus said to him, “Go; your son will live.” The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and went on his way. John 4:50 (ESV).

The healing of the official’s son demonstrates Jesus’ authority over sickness and His power to heal, even from a distance. The official’s faith was remarkable; he believed in Jesus’ word before seeing the evidence of his son’s recovery. This reminds us that true faith trusts in God’s promises, even when the outcome is not immediately visible.

How can you cultivate a faith that trusts in God’s promises even before seeing the evidence of His work?

Prayer: Father God, Please grant me the faith to trust Your word and promises, even when I cannot see the results. Help me to believe in Your power to heal and restore in every situation I face. In Jesus name, Amen.
