Taming the Tongueنموونە

Today, let's take some time to examine our recent conversations. Were they marked by honesty and love, or are there areas where we need to grow? I don't know about you, but I can use work in this area of my life every day. Just today, I reflected on my conversations and found that I had been kind and loving to a colleague while being critical of a family member.
PRAYER
"Thank you, Lord, for revealing that to me. I need your help!"
PLAN OF ACTION
Commit to using your words to build others up today, being mindful of how you speak. Remember, taming the tongue is a lifelong journey, so give yourself some slack when you fail. Continue to seek God’s help and guidance in using your words to bring life and blessing to others.
PRAYER
"Lord, help me to speak the truth in love. Let my words reflect your goodness and bring life to those who hear them. Teach me to tame my tongue and use it for your glory. In Jesus name, Amen."

The tongue, while small, is powerful in its impact. We all struggle to say the right thing at the right time. Over the next three days, we will engage with God's Word and focus on the importance of using our words wisely. We will reflect on how wise words stimulate healing, while harsh words stir up anger and pain. Finally, we will contemplate Biblical best practices for taming the tongue.
