The Importance of the Heartنموونە

Another famous Bible passage concerning the heart comes from Deuteronomy 6:4. It is about the most important law in the Bible: loving God. That is something we should do with all of our heart, soul, and strength.
Again, to rule out what the heart is not, it is good to take a look at the word strength.
The Hebrew word that is used for “strength” is MEH-ODE, which means: extraordinary, a lot, power, and abundance. So strength in this context has not so much to do with our physical strength, but with the amount of loving God, namely: in an abundant and extraordinary way!
“Law”...? That sounds kind of like a “must”. Don’t forget that these are the laws God gave us out of love and that He, as our Creator, knows best what is best for us.
Tomorrow we will dive deeper into the heart. But for now, my question for you is: Do you love God in an abundant and extraordinary way? The answer might sound easy, so let me ask you it differently:
God loves you so much that He sacrificed Himself for you and I, through Jesus. What can you sacrifice for Him today, out of love?
See you tomorrow! 💪
