The next two days' readings are incredibly important for our understanding of the relationship between the Old and New Covenants; Jesus is far superior to the Old Covenant and He is the fulfilment of all of God's promises.

In today's reading, we see that Jesus fulfils the New Covenant prediction by Jeremiah (31:31-34).
