Everyday Life in Revelation Part 10: The Final Dayنموونە

The whole book of Revelation has made it clear that King Jesus has already won the victory over sin, death, and the enemy. Throughout the book, Revelation declares Jesus to have total victory over all His enemies. We are currently waiting to see the full consummation of this victory and installation of Christ’s kingdom. Thus the conflict, thus the violence, thus the pain.
So when we see this cosmic worship in today’s reading, we witness how the enemies of Christ fall when all of heaven worships. This draws our focus to the ultimate fall of God’s chief foe and the ultimate end of all who oppose Him. Nothing is more worthy of celebration than the overthrow of a kingdom raised up against the Lord.
In this passage we see the marriage feast. The church is united to Christ in a glorious celebration and feast. The church is the exact opposite of the prostitute Babylon. Though the church is far from perfect, one day she will come before her groom. She will be spotless. Today, thank God for His work in making the church holy. Let us thank God for His role in preserving and protecting the church. Are you part of the church today?
