Connections
It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Ephesians 1:11 MSG
It’s impossible to realize the abundant, purposeful life we’re created for without finding out who we are in Christ. He’s the revelation of our true self, the illumination of our divine purpose, and the only hope we have of fulfilling every good thing we desire to do. Being present when we were created and having bridged our sin-broken relationship with God, Jesus knows the breadth of our lives from beginning to end. He knew the scope of our earthly potential the moment we were born. Our lives are lived as fully as they should be when we’re fully surrendered to Him.
As the saying goes, “That’s what Jesus does. He loves us, and He knows things.” In truth, He knows everything—and that’s a good thing. As our constant companion, He’s an infallible guide for our hearts on how to build and nurture relationships, stay mindful of loving people like God does, and discern the unspoken needs around us. Every step of His earthly walk was in step with God’s will because He understood that what He was living for was the people God put in His path on purpose. Our deepest desire should be to love people—being confident our connections are a part of God’s plan.
Fill me with the desire to love others like You do, Lord.
