7 Simple Ways to Worship Godنموونە

KEY 4: Start with a Psalm!
Do you often struggle with where to start or what to do in your devotional times with God? You may desire to spend time in the Word, but feel at a loss to know what to read. THE BOOK OF PSALMS IS YOUR ANSWER! Many Psalms are written in the first person – as a conversation with the Lord. Many are literally songs of praise and worship.
You can start by slowly reading through one of these Psalms. At the end of every verse, pause and give thanks or praise to the Lord in your own words from your heart. If you find yourself pausing at one verse for a long time, that is perfectly fine! On other days, you may find yourself enjoying pray-reading through longer passages at a time. Reading and re-reading these specific Psalms, teaches and expands our prayer language from Scripture. Praying from your Bible like this day after day, will fill your heart with a deeper love for God over time and fulfil that desire to worship Him more and more. You may want to start with these Psalms:
Psalms focusing on thanksgiving: Psalm 7:17, 28, 30, 34, 44:4-8, 50:14-15, 57, 69:29, 86:1-13, 89, 92, 95, 100, 106:1-3, 107:1-3, 111, 118: 1-9 & 19-29, 136, 138.
Psalms focusing on praising God: Psalm 8, 40, 65, 98, 145, 146, 150.
