We Are All Ministers
It’s very easy to think those with official titles like "Pastor", "Minister", "Bishop" or "Priest", are the ones responsible for sharing the Good News of the Gospel. But the truth is, we are all called to be ministers!
If we say we are Christian, then we are claiming Christ as our Lord and Saviour and are disciples of Christ. In Matthew 28:19, Jesus instructed His disciples to ‘go and make disciples of all nations’. This direction applies to all His disciples, past, present and future.
How do we do that? The verb of ‘minister’ is to attend to the needs of someone. To do good for people. To find those who have needs and share with them about Jesus, the One who can meet every need.
We don’t have to leave our country, city, or even neighbourhood to do good. You can show kindness to the family next door by mowing their lawn, or the single mum across the road by writing a letter of encouragement. Pray for God to show you how you can reflect the heart of Christ to the lost and unsaved around you through acts of kindness. Pray that your actions will point them to Jesus, so another person may be saved and brought into the kingdom.
Becoming a believer is not just about accepting Christ into our hearts, submitting to His Lordship, and surrendering to the transformation process. It is also about serving in His Kingdom and sharing with others to do the same.

Becoming a believer is not just about accepting Christ into our hearts, submitting to His Lordship and surrendering to the transformation process. It’s also about serving in His kingdom and sharing the Gospel (We Are All Ministers – Abigail George). Over the next week, pray for the Lord to bring you opportunities to tell people about Him – He will be there right alongside you!
