Today’s Prayer of Illumination: Before we get into today’s reading, take a few moments to quiet your heart and listen to the Lord in silence (set a timer for 1-5 minutes and be still), pray this prayer of illumination at the end of silence before you start reading today’s Word:

O God, your Word is more precious than fine gold, and sweeter than purest honey. As I turn to your Scripture, send your Holy Spirit to infuse your Word with truth and grace — so that the good news of your love would shine before my eyes and delight my senses ... so that I cannot help but respond with wonder, faith and trust.

Lord Jesus, Break my heart for what breaks your's. Amen
