Confessing Christ
Daily Thought:
For the last few days, the focus of confession has been inward and reflective. In Romans 10, however, Paul writes of another essential component of confession—confessing Christ himself. In this way, Paul instructs us to confess that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that he has conquered the grave. This confession leads not only to a changed life but also to a changed eternity.
Scripture Excerpt:
Romans 10:9-10, ESV
because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
Prayer Point:
In prayer, confess that Jesus is Lord. Allow this confession to lead your mind to reflect on God’s goodness and provision in your life. Make this confession a habit, as it inspires a new level of repentance as you navigate the complexities of life.
