Twenty Five Days of Christmas Devotionsنموونە

Mary was startled by the appearance of the angel Gabriel. She was probably anxious about what God had in store for her. The angel reassured her that she had found favour with God. In a time of uncertainty, there can be no greater comfort to know that you have found favour with God and that He is pleased with your life.
Isaiah 66:2 tells us three characteristics of the person on whom God looks at favourably. Firstly, he is humble. He does not have an air about his own importance, nor does he feel the need to show his power, but in humility, he considers others better than himself. Secondly, he is contrite in spirit. He is quick to repent of the wrongs in his life and not give excuses for his mistakes. Thirdly, he trembles at God’s word. He has the highest reverence for God’s word and is willing to follow what it says even when the world thinks otherwise.

We will also observe the lives and circumstances that surrounded the birth of Jesus. Above all, we will see how Jesus makes a difference in our lives both now and forever.
