The Silver Chest and Arm, The Bear, and the Ram
The statue's chest and arm were silver, and the second animal Daniel saw appeared like a bear and was lifted by one of its sides. In his second vision, there was a ram with two horns, one longer than the other. The Angel revealed that the ram represents the kings of Media and Persia, the kingdom that succeeded the Babylonians.
The Medo-Persian Kingdom was also great. Cyrus, king of Persia, ordered the return of the Jews to their land. The Bible also tells the story of Esther, who became queen of Persia when she married Xerxes.
