In today’s chapter, Paul is doing a lot of compare-and-contrast work for us. He lays out how according to all 600+ rules a good Jew must follow, he should be considered the best! But because God sees us through the sacrifice of Jesus, none of those things actually matter. It’s not so much about what we can offer Him, because what the Lord ultimately wants is our hearts and real relationship.
