The Importance of Remembering What God Has Done: 5 Day Bible Planنموونە

Day Two: What had God done?
When the Israelites were in the desert complaining, they had just taken part in one of the most audacious escapes in history and witnessed multiple miracles. God rescued over one million people from the mightiest empire on earth; it was utterly incredible.
If we are Christians, then we will have our own stories of God’s intervention in our lives; we may not have seen a plague of frogs (I am glad God didn’t choose to speak to me through any plagues!), but we’ll each have had the sense that God sees and knows us and that he longs to join us in every situation we face. This is miraculous; the creator of the universe knows exactly what we’ve been through and has been working to restore us.
I hope your Christian churches and small groups also make time to tell and hear how God has worked in the lives of its members. These testimonies can be encouraging and help us take our eyes off our troubles and see how God works behind the scenes in every circumstance.
Countless books also tell the stories of what God has done all over the world and in every century. In my book Come with Me to Kathmandu, I describe how God has worked in the lives of 12 courageous women who have trusted him despite their deprivation and isolation. I hope it encourages you and reminds you of God’s bigger plans. He is doing far more than we can ask or imagine.
Reflect: What has God done in your life? Whom can you encourage with your story? Whom can you ask to tell you their story of God’s work in their life?
Prayer: Faithful God, help me remember all your goodness towards me and how you have worked in my life. Amen.

In this Bible plan, be reminded of God’s goodness and learn from biblical characters who were also forgetful. God spoke to them and also wants to remind us of his faithfulness.
