Lord, time is such a proof of Your existence. Where did it come from if not from Your hand? It doesn’t hold the fractured logic of step-by-step evolution. You spoke, and time was.

Time is what keeps order, what allows history to unspool. It moves ever forward no matter what we do. We can’t stop it. All we can do is live with its inevitable consequences.

Not that long ago time was my friend. I had an abundance of it to enjoy my husband, my marriage, my life. Then his time stopped, and my tidy little time capsule imploded. Creator of time, help!

I trust in you, O Lord; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in your hand.
