The First Letter of Johnنموونە

No Darkness at All
God is to man what the sun is to the world, because where He is, darkness cannot be. When we are in the light, we are in fellowship with our beloved Creator. The things we hide in darkness, the shame, and the guilt, are incompatible with His light-giving love. Shame is so prevalent in our day and age - and it keeps us in fear of approaching God. However, when his light shines on us, every brokenness must flee, and we are freed from our heavy burdens.
Fellowship with God means vulnerability. When we hide ourselves from God, we hinder true fellowship from taking place. Bring your sin and shame into the light, bring all the brokenness to His marvelous light. He is full of forgiveness.
Devotional Question:
What are the things in my life that I must bring to the light?
