Faith & Love: A One Year Bible Reading Plan - Part 10نموونە

This part of Paul’s letter is about forgotten generosity and he wanted to show that this was not about money. At its heart, the Gospel is a story of generosity. Paul reminds us of the generous grace of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah. Paul is telling the story of the Gospel through a financial metaphor. His point is that God is the source of all blessings.
This verse is a fantastic promise that God will provide for our every need! However, it doesn't necessarily mean that we will become a millionaire or have our dream car; it is possible if it is in God’s will, but if it is not, God will look after every need and sustain the desires of our hearts. As children of God, we need to trust our heavenly Father, give thanks for everything we have, and live a generous life.
Jesus demonstrated this by becoming a human being (while still being God) and living a life where He served His children. He also gave the ultimate gift by bearing all we had to go through, on the cross, and allowing us to be born-again Christians and live a new life under a new order. This is one massive blessing and the ultimate gift.
So just as Jesus devoted His life to His children and the Kingdom of God, spending time in prayer and petition, we need to set an example and become more like Jesus, knowing that God looks after us and that He blesses us every day. We just need to look past the earthly things and find the eternal qualities. Those qualities that have a place in eternity.
Being generous doesn’t only refer to finances. It also refers to our time, serving one another, being involved in our community, and changing our surroundings to a place where God is the head and everything functions out of Him. How are you being challenged to live a generous life? Where can you plant your seeds so that their roots can start growing and start influencing the world around you?
