Tired of Running on Empty?
You can have the nicest car… but without fuel, you won’t be able to go anywhere. Greatness, from God’s perspective, is defined by how you help and add value to people—but did you know it requires a certain fuel? The fuel of greatness—what drives us to serve people wholeheartedly and glorify God—is passion!
The problem with passion is that we all get tired, overworked, scattered, and spread too thin at times. Ever been there before? I know I have. If you find yourself not having enough time, energy, or passion to accomplish the dreams God has given you, I have good news—God wants to fill you with fresh passion today!
You see friend, great passion begins with a great vision of God. We see this throughout Scripture. In Acts 9, the Apostle Paul was walking on the road to Damascus with letters in his hand to imprison Christians. All of a sudden, in Acts 9:3: …a light shone around him from heaven. Paul was knocked down and from there, passion and destiny ignited in his heart. Why? Because he had an encounter with God!
When God has touched your life and there’s a passion in your heart, it’s long-lasting because the source is not you—it’s God! This is why we’ve got to have the right priorities—consistently showing up in prayer and God’s Word.
As you engage with God’s Word, ask yourself the following questions:
● What is God saying to me?
● What does it mean to me?
● How can I apply what God is teaching me?
● How can I be specific in prayer today?
After you reflect on these questions, bring everything to God in prayer.
