Where There's Smoke There's Fireنموونە

In Jeremiah 9:7-9 and James 3:6, we gain insight into God's refining work and the transformative effect of His presence.
Understand that His refining process isn't solely for your benefit; it's as much for His sake as yours. It's like a craftsman shaping a masterpiece. As you allow His presence to refine you, you're becoming a reflection of His craftsmanship.
In this refining, He removes what's unnecessary and fills voids only He can fill. It's similar to clearing space in a cluttered room. His presence is the key to this process, molding you into your truest self.
His presence, likened to refining fire, saves you from the entanglements of sin. It's like a rescuer pulling you from treacherous waters. His presence is your lifeline, protecting you from self-destructive paths.
Moreover, His presence can extinguish the harmful fire of your words. It's like a cooling breeze dousing a flame. Inviting His presence into your life tempers your speech, guiding your words toward healing rather than harm.
Remember, His refining presence not only transforms you, but it's also a testament to His love and craftsmanship. Embrace the process, for through it, you become a vessel for His glory.

The age-old adage of “where there’s smoke, there’s fire” rings true with God’s presence: if it’s visible, the signs are present. In this 28-day reading plan, we see how God’s presence is symbolized by fire and the “smoke” that should show in our lives because of it. Note: This plan is based on the sermon series from the good people at Youth Pastor Co.
