4 Things Christians Should Do With Money (That Don't Make Sense)نموونە

Day 3—Pursue debt-free living
The world’s one-two punch of consumerism and debt has become the standard for far too many Christians today.
Credit card companies, Instagram and TikTok influencers, and nearly every marketing message we see send us the signal that being in debt is good if it gets us what we want faster.
And while debt is not defined as a sin in the Bible, it certainly isn’t encouraged by God as the best way to live. It's also seen as something that is best to be avoided.
Deuteronomy 15:6 exemplifies this perspective, suggesting that a life free from the chains of debt is the more preferred state: "For the Lord your God will bless you as he has promised, and you will lend to many nations but will borrow from none." It's clear from this verse that being in a position to lend to others, rather than being in need, is God’s desire for His children.
Achieving a debt-free life isn't just about personal financial health or being able to buy whatever you want without worry.
But more importantly, it enables us as followers of Christ to be in a better position to extend a helping hand to others, echoing the love and generosity of our heavenly Father more effectively.
It also gives us freedom and peace of mind to focus on what truly matters without the constant worry about money and debt. Therefore, living within our means and working diligently to pay off debts is worthwhile.
Today, let's take a moment and reflect on our relationship with debt.
If you're entangled in it, pray that God will begin guiding you on a path out. If you're free from it, how can you ensure you stay that way and use your financial stability to glorify God?
