Shine - Light Dispels the Darknessنموونە

The N in Shine is - Not defined by my past, I am worthy, and I am loved
I will raise my hand high in the sky for this one. How often do we take our past struggles, heartbreaks, trauma, challenges… and live there? We may stay in the past and are held in bondage to our past rather than giving ourselves permission to release it. Appreciating that now, which is the present, is a gift. I don’t think it’s by accident that the word meaning ‘now’: “present” also means a gift.
A visual illustration of not letting go would be clenched fists. It’s impossible to place anything in our hands that way. When we unclench our fists and stretch out our hands, our fingers are able to grasp God’s grace, hope, and healing.
We cannot change what we’ve done in the past or what was done to us, but God is willing and able to heal our hearts. That’s not to say there won’t be some scars or marks from the pieces of our hearts being sewn back together, but it can be whole again. Because your wholeness is from Him.
Challenge: Meditate on Psalms 139. How God is Omnicient, Omnipresent, and Omnipotent.
