If we're praying that God brings Heaven to earth, then we need to know where we stand. Philippians tells us that our citizenship is in Heaven. When we give our life to Jesus, we are no longer citizens of the earth, but of Heaven. Therefore, when we pray that God brings Heaven to earth, we pray that God brings our true home to us and those around us. When we pray that God brings heaven to earth, we are praying that those around us come to know Jesus so that they too are citizens of heaven. Part of Heaven is becoming more like Jesus. This passage tells us that God will transform us to be more like Jesus. That is Heaven on earth. People living for and like Jesus. This is what we pray for. Talk to God today and ask Him to make you more like Jesus and bring Heaven to earth today and each and every day.
