Genesis
Paul got it. He understood something intimately and intrinsically about the crucifixion of Christ that he couldn’t help but share with other believers. Thankfully, we are also included in that wonderful revelation Paul wrote about so passionately.
The definition of genesis is origin, so it makes sense that the first book of the Bible is Genesis, our origin story where God spoke and created the world. But Paul understood we also have a second origin story, a second new beginning - when we accept Christ’s sacrifice He made for us. As Galatians 2:20 says, it’s no longer I who lives but Christ who lives in me.
"Genesis" captures everything Paul writes about and puts it into one awesome celebration song. We are no longer slaves to sin, and the same old lies do not bind us, but we’ve been born again, and his resurrection power washes away sin and gives us a brand-new life.
Thank God for new beginnings.
Takeaway challenge: Thank Jesus for His resurrection power and the new beginning His death and resurrection bring. And then put on ‘Genesis’ and dance around the house!

The old life has gone, and Genesis marks the new days we now live out. Jesus is our present-day confidence that we have victory over all things. We can now live each day in communion with Christ as originally intended in Eden and bring heaven to earth through God’s power living in us.
