Face to Face With Jesus - a Lenten Meditationنموونە

The relationship between Moses and God began on Mount Sinai where Moses watched over his sheep. What began at a burning bush continued for the next forty years and only grew in closeness. The Bible says that God talked with Moses as he would a friend. The first conversation that they had was marked by Moses being diffident and fearful while God established who he was and what he would do. It’s interesting that God doesn’t answer Moses’s questions directly but clearly responds in a way that sets His thoughts above his and His ways above his.
Over the years to come Moses would be called by God into closer communion but Moses never loses sight of the holiness and majesty of God. Moses spent so much time with God that his very appearance changed and he had to wear a veil to hide the radiance on His face. Although he couldn't enter the promised land, on account of his one act of rebellion against God’s word to him, he died and was buried by God himself! What an honour! What a testament to their closeness!
Questions to ask myself
What questions should I be asking of God?
Am I putting in effort to spend time wjth God?
Are my times with God leaving me transformed?
