How to make peace with your life (from The Holy Longing)
- Give your will and dreams to God
- Name the things in your life that have come to an end
- Wait in expectation for God to do something
- Notice the birth of something new
- Let go of what you have lost
- Allow yourself to be blessed by the gifts of the past
- Receive the Holy Spirit for the life you are living now
Exercise:
Slowly go through the cycle and be open to receive the Holy Spirit for the life that you are living now and not the life you wanted to live.
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father, give me the grace of freedom from resentment. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
