LENT - a Journey for Teens: The Places We Goنموونە

Letting Go
What can you let go of?
To cling prevents us from starting the grieving process, but also prevents us from moving, so that sadness can go through us.
For example, I can cling to anger through blame. I can feel it’s someone’s or something’s fault, and that I want revenge. I can start blaming myself – “If only I didn’t do that.”
These can be ways of avoiding sadness. They’re things we have to let go of so that we can grieve.
What is it you need to let go of in order to grieve?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, Please give me the grace to let go of anything that hinders me from You. In the precious Name of Jesus, Amen.

This Lent plan invites you to face that which you so easily avoid - your humanity, your brokenness, your sadness and disappointments. For the next 40 days, we will embark on an adventure filled with some alone time, prayer and fasting. Each day will provide a scripture, a guide, an exercise and a grace prayer which you can pray throughout your day.
