Wait, Watch, Worship: A Lent Devotionalنموونە

Wake (from death to life)
Friday – 9 days before Easter
John 11:1-45
John writes in verse 45 that many people believed in Jesus when they saw him raise Lazarus from the dead. They believed because they saw. What can people hear and see today that will point them to Jesus? How can your resurrected life — that is, your new life with Jesus — be evidence for the power and presence of Jesus? You have not stepped out of a literal grave, but you have moved from death to life. What do you hope people will see in your actions and attitudes? How will you continually surrender more and more of yourself to Jesus each day as he continues to make you a new person?

From Ash Wednesday through Easter Sunday, this devotional plan reflects on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, tracing the themes such as wait, wonder, watch, and worship. Each week focuses on a specific Biblical story (Sunday-Friday) and ends with a Psalm (Saturday). Holy Week traces the final scenes and events of Jesus' life, crucifixion, and resurrection.
