Uncommon Loveنموونە

The Nature of God
Whether you grew up in church or not, we all have a preconceived idea about what God is like. Some of us think He is an angry God waiting to punish humanity. Others may think He is an absent and distant father, perhaps due partly to our relationship with our earthly fathers.
Psalm 103 is a beautiful picture of the nature of God. He is our great redeemer. He is the one who gives justice to the oppressed. He is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in love.
John 3 reveals more of this picture. We see that He gave His one and only Son so that we may know truth and life. Now that is an uncommon kind of love!
If you desire to get to know that extravagant love, all you need to do is ask Him to open your heart.
Daily Prayer
God, thank you for your uncommon love for me. I thank you for who you are, more than what you have done or can do for me. I pray that you’d reveal another element of your nature to me today.
