It’s a comfort to know there’s absolutely no limit to the power of God. As humans, we know there’s a line between what’s possible and what’s impossible. While there are many in life who love to face challenges and work to deny those limitations, there will always be a natural end point to what we can do. We have to stay within the borders of our humanity.
When Jesus came to earth, He not only came as fully human but fully God as well. And as such, He came with the full power of God. And instead of using that power to rule over the Israelites, He used it to free them from the chains of death. He could have built a kingdom here on earth. He could have replaced every government and king in the world. But He chose to use His power to make the ultimate sacrifice - a sacrifice we would never have the power to make on our own. He chose to put the whole world before Himself.
This week, what is something you can do to put others first? It could be something as little as letting someone go ahead of you in line for coffee, taking on a task to help a colleague at work, or as big as helping out a family you know to be struggling.

A small shift can be enough to change your perspective. When we shift our perspective, we allow ourselves to see something in a whole new light. Many of us have a picture of what we want and expect Jesus Christ to be, but if we allow ourselves to shift our perspective, we can see a God who is so much more than we think.
