HE IS ALWAYS WITH ME

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

Talk about a promise! This is a big one. 'I will be with you WHEREVER you go.' That means He is with us as we go through all the days of our lives – the good ones and the bad ones. It's easy to believe this promise as we're going through the good days of life – but the hard ones?

On November 27, 2021, my husband suddenly and unexpectedly died, and I was faced with a decision: Did I really believe that promise? Did I really believe that God would be WITH me as I journeyed through some of the most painful, dark, and lonely days of my life? I definitely didn’t feel strong and courageous; I was terrified; I was discouraged - but there was this promise that I KNEW to be true: GOD IS WITH ME! His presence was evidenced in the meals people brought and the cards and texts that people sent. It was evidenced by the fact that I could sleep at night, get out of bed in the morning, and that the sun came up in the morning.

Regardless of what life circumstances you are facing – whether good or bad - as you fast today - I encourage you to focus on the fact that GOD IS WITH YOU and has promised He will ALWAYS be with you.
