In yesterday’s reading, we read that the angels were there to minister to Jesus. Angels were sent on assignment to minister to Him while He was resisting temptation. His Father dispatched heavenly hosts because His Son was fasting. When we are fasting and denying our flesh, our Father is sending heavenly hosts to minister to us. He is on our side, unlocking His power on our behalf. Fasted prayers start changing things because heaven is involved. What have you been praying for that has yet to be answered? What have you been believing for? Now is the time to ask. Fasting is a spiritual path that releases angelic activity.
Prayer: Lord thank You that You meet me in Your power while I fast. Thank You that, just like You sent angels to minister to Jesus when He fasted, You are ministering to me too. Unlock Your dunamis power in me. I want Heaven to minister to me. I make my requests and petitions known to You, having faith, and knowing that You hear my cries and prayers. Amen.

Fasting is a spiritual discipline that calls us to deny the desires of our flesh and fill ourselves up with God, His Word, and His presence. Over the next 40 days, we will grow in intimacy with God, position ourselves to be in His perfect will, and learn about His dunamis power in our daily personal encounters.
