A guy named King David wrote many Psalms, mainly songs or poems written as prayers to God. He wrote many at a time when he was feeling bad about something he’d done. Instead of giving up, David asked for God’s help to keep his heart clean. When we make mistakes, it can be easy to believe that’s the end of the story. That’s why it’s important to keep asking God for help. When we do, just like David, we’ll begin to rely on God to make our hearts clean and our paths straight in every choice we make.
Try memorizing this verse to use as a prayer the next time you find yourself struggling with a choice you’ve made that wasn’t God’s best for you. Let it remind you that God can change your heart.
