Choosing God Instead of the World - Learning From the Lives of Jacob and Josephنموونە

What did we learn this week?
Reflection Questions - Week 2
- What are some of the great blessings God has given you? List as many as you can. Are you more prone to celebrate these blessings or compare the blessings you have received with the blessings others have received from God? How can you fight a spirit of comparison today?
- Do you acknowledge God as the source of all your success? In what area of your life do you tend to rely on your own devices instead of trusting God’s plan?
- Are you obedient to God’s commands? Have you believed in His Son? Do you love others? Do you love others even when they are unkind to you or attempt to deceive or overpower you?
- In what area of your life do you often ask God for deliverance but then create your own rescue plans? What would happen if you waited on God for deliverance?
- In what ways has God transformed your identity? In what ways have you seen God strip you of self-reliance?

Choosing God Instead of the World studies the lives of Jacob and Joseph, their families, and the choices they faced. Both men were given a specific promise from God, but they lived out their faith very differently. We will see the importance of choosing the things of God and the way God rewards those who walk with Him. We will also discover how God's promises to them never failed.
