Be Bold! - Proverbs 28
In the book of Acts, one of the qualities you see in the lives of the first Christians is boldness. At the end of Jesus’ life, we see the disciples responding in fear. After the Holy Spirit was poured out in Acts 2 and the church was born, we see the disciples moving forward boldly. Their boldness was a byproduct of their faith. The righteous are bold!
The Oxford Dictionary defines boldness as a willingness to take risks and act innovatively; confidence or courage. It is a God-confidence rooted in our relationship with Christ, not in our strength or personality. Boldness doesn’t mean we are brash or arrogant. It means we can believe for big things and have faith that God will come through for us. I encourage you to have bold faith. Dream dreams that are big and bold and step out in faith with a boldness that comes from God. He is for you!
“Father, thank you for the boldness that you have given me. I thank you that the righteous are as bold as a lion. Give me the strength to live out that boldness today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
