In Jesus’ Arms: 10 Days of Prayer for Your Childrenنموونە

Gift of Surrender
Life presents all kinds of opportunities to walk in fear. It’s second nature for parents to worry about their children. However, be wary of letting your fear guide you. Whether you’re afraid of something physical or hypothetical, let the Lord carry you and be your refuge from fear and anxiety.
PRAYER:
Gracious God, I release my children into your hands. I don’t want to parent them out of fear or anxiety. Sometimes, it’s hard not to dwell on all the bad things that could happen. Remind me that you are the one who holds them. You are the one who leads them and is with them in all they do. I know that you will not leave them or forsake them. I want to give them the gift of being a parent who confidently surrenders them with open hands. I don’t want to hold them back or make decisions for them based on fear.
Please replace my anxiety with wisdom and fervent prayer. Give me the peace that comes from knowing that your goodness is everlasting, and your love is greater than my own. When I fall into worry or anxiety, lead me back to a place of rest. Holy Spirit, bring conviction when I am spending my time worrying. Draw me back to the Father in repentance. Thank you for always teaching me with gentleness. Even when I worry about the same thing over and over, you do not shake your head at me or express disappointment. You lovingly show me how to trust you.
