Jesus First: Devotions to Start Your Dayنموونە

Good Fruit
When we look to Jesus first, above and before all others, our lives will reflect the fruit of his life in ours. May we not take for granted the time that we have been given. Tomorrow is not guaranteed, and yesterday’s regrets are behind us. Today is the day of our salvation, says the Word. No matter how long we have followed the Lord, today is the day he has given us.
What fruits of the Spirit are currently evident in our lives? Where can we taste and see the goodness of God in our homes, communities, and cities? He is always working, and as long as it is called “today,” God is near. May our characters be refined in righteousness as we choose to love others as Jesus did. May we fix our eyes on Jesus today, living for his approval and offering him the glory of our surrendered lives.
Dearest Jesus, as I focus my attention on you, I ask for your Holy Spirit to reveal the fruit of your life within mine. Show me where you are working and remind me that there will be a greater harvest down the road where you are pruning in my life. I trust you!
