Passion Week: The Resurrection and the Lifeنموونە

The Trial
Jesus has been unjustly arrested, falsely accused by His own people, abandoned by His friends, and now endures a rigged trial. He does not defend or justify Himself but remains silent. When brought before the Roman governor, the only thing Jesus confirms is that He is the long-awaited King of the Jews, the Savior.
Jesus comes as a different kind of King. A King who arrived not on a noble warhorse with the angel armies of Heaven behind Him but as a baby in a map-dot town. He came preaching the Kingdom of Heaven with a message of hope and peace, offering a different way to live and relate to God and people instead of coming to overthrow world governments. The Kingdom of Heaven, Jesus had taught, is worth more than pearls or valuable diamonds, and the way to it is the King Himself. No one is excluded from the invitation; all are welcome.
