A Time to Mourn

Those that loved Jesus lost someone they cared for, and they didn't understand that He would return. To fully appreciate the hope that is on the horizon, may we be brave enough to sit in the sorrow and fully mourn the loss instead of rushing to the celebration.

Father, may I sit in this uncomfortable place of death and mourning so that I can better understand all You did for me. Help me feel the loss even as I know the hope that is to come. Amen.
