Daily Discipleship With Chip Ingram: James (Video)نموونە

Practical Steps to Take When Your World is Falling Apart
- STEP 1: Watch the Video
- STEP 2: Complete the Assignments
Today's Assignments
1. Reread James 1:2-4. Think about what it means to you.
2. Review the four truths that form a framework for having the right attitude.
• God is good. Psalm 84:11 says, “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord gives grace and glory; no good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.”
• Life is hard. We live in a fallen world. Jesus said, “In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33 ).
• God is sovereign. He allows trials in our lives to bring about our good.
• God is all wise. He brings about the best possible ends by the best possible means for the most possible people for the longest possible time
3. Ask yourself the three questions Chip shares, based on the teaching in James 1:2-4.
• What can I control today?
• How can I make it just through today?
• What hope do I have for tomorrow?
4. Pray and ask God to help you have the right attitude in the face of trials.
