The Road Less Traveled - a Lent Journey for Teensنموونە

Peace is Our Most Important Need
When Jesus was born, Zechariah shared that Jesus would bring forgiveness of sins, and this would show us the road to peace. This means when our sins are forgiven, we are at peace with God. God gives us this wonderful and unconditional gift. Our only responsibility is to receive it and then to use it.
Our biggest hindrance is that we are sometimes blind to the fact that peace with God is the most important need of our hearts. Maybe you have exalted the need for knowledge, energy, inspiration, or opportunity above peace with God. Don’t be alarmed; God made a way through Jesus. He is our bridge back to God. He is the peacemaker between you and God.
Let’s become aware of our most important need this week, God’s peace.
Exercise:
What are the desires of your heart? Share them with God.
Prayer:
God, I ask that you will show me your mind-blowing peace today.

Lent is where we walk with Jesus for 40 days. We are going to look at the Beatitudes of Jesus. These are sayings from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. We live in a world filled with uncertainty, fear and anxiety. The beatitudes invite us to live in a new way in this world of ours. Together, we are going to explore new ways to live life.
