Wisdom From Jamesنموونە

Love Has No Favouritism
In these passages James outlines the things that hinder our faith, such as showing favouritism. The church was encouraged not to discriminate or be judgmental. James tells us not to “be guided by evil motives”, but to love and do good to others.
The two statements used in these passages, “mercy triumphs over judgement” and “faith without works is dead”, can seem like they are opposing ideas. However, true faith is backed up by our actions of mercy, by not discriminating and doing good to others. Mercy and faith work together.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you that you have accepted me. Today I pray that you help me to not show favouritism but to give them love and dignity to everyone. Please forgive me for the times when I have shown prejudice. I want you to use my life for your glory. In Jesus’ name, amen.
