The Other Five Prayer Journeyنموونە
DAY TWO
Galatians 2:10 “All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along.”
Galatians chapter 2 recounts Paul’s presentation of the gospel of salvation by grace through faith to the Apostles. In Galatians 2:10 he states, “All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor.” Ignoring the poor was one of the sins for which the Lord judged ancient Israel and as such, the Apostles knew that the Body of Christ should not do the same. In Latin America, there are vast pockets of poverty. Each one represents an opportunity to transform lives with the gospel. In Peru, nearly half the population of over thirty million live on less than $3.00 per day. Nearly seven million live on less than $2 per day. These statistics ring true for much of Latin America. It is especially grievous for children who must survive with little food, in houses made of cane or mud, with dirt floors, no bathrooms, and no running water. ChildHope Christian schools are one of many ministries that brings education, nutrition, compassion, and the gospel to these children. These expressions of the love of Christ bring many of these families to faith in the Savior.

Prayer: Lord we thank you for blessing us. Help us to remember the poor, providing real food for the body and the soul. May the world see Jesus in us as we do your work among those who are so desperately needy.

About this Plan
The Other Five are the 5 out of 6 people in Latin America Caribbean that are not yet disciples of Jesus. The soul care decisions regarding them should be guided by the Lord of the Harvest, the One that truly cares most for every soul. The One that cares most should be foremost in determining where the focus should be directed as we PRAY, GO, AND GIVE.
